- Built in 1970 at a cost of $35 million, Three Rivers Stadium has the look of a steel and concrete Roman coliseum. It was the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers, with whom its history is forever intertwined. Situated at the juncture of the Allegheny, Ohio and Monongahela rivers from which its name was derived, the grand old stadium is a repository of memories for the Steeler faithful.
